About Reghan

Reghan is a graduate of Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre, where she completed the Riding and Training Program along with nine months of Farrier Coursework. Her formal education provided a strong foundation in training theory, equine behavior, and the mechanics behind effective riding—all of which she incorporates into her program at Reghan M Performance Horse Training.

Educated with a deep understanding of equine biomechanics, Reghan is able to influence each horse in a way that supports balance, clarity, and long-term athletic development. Before enrolling at Meredith Manor, she trained, maintained, and showed her own horses; experiences that strengthened her work ethic and built the foundation for her performance-driven approach to developing well-prepared, competitive horses.

With a focus on ranch and versatility training, Reghan is committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursues mentorship and collaboration opportunities from other respected industry professionals. Her dedication to ongoing education allows her to continually elevate her program while providing thoughtful, well-rounded development for both horses and riders.

  • Reghan offers lessons in a variety of disciplines designed to help riders strengthen communication, refine technique, and develop horses with clarity and purpose. Lessons focus on building correct biomechanics, elevating performance in and out of the show pen, and creating a confident, prepared partnership. Each session is tailored to the goals of the horse and rider, ensuring meaningful progress and long-term development.

Onsite individual and group riding instruction is available on select dates or weekly haul out lessons can be coordinated through R3 Ranch.

  • Reghan M Performance Horse Training program develops horses that are responsive, balanced, soft, and ready to perform—while maintaining mental soundness and confidence. Competitive Show Program

In addition to training and instruction offerings, Reghan M Performance Horse Training has developed a comprehensive show program built on partnership—between horse and rider, trainer and client, preparation and performance. Reghan believes that success in the show pen begins long before show day, through correct training, clear communication, and confidence developed at home.

The program provides structured coaching, thorough show preparation, and in-pen support across all-around, ranch, and versatility events, with a strong emphasis on long-term development rather than shortcuts. Riders are encouraged to grow their skills, understanding, and horsemanship alongside their horses in a positive, goal-driven environment.

HIGH QUIXOTE CASH
”Cash”

2022 Bay AQHA Gelding

A Rare Combination of Experience, Ability, and Mindset

Cash is an outstanding young gelding who has already accumulated more real-world exposure than many horses twice his age. Throughout the summer he has trail ridden extensively, participated in cattle sorts and donkey sorts, and most recently completed a full weekend of fox hunting in the foothills of Burwell, Nebraska. He approaches every new setting with confidence, try, and a levelheaded disposition.

Cash is equally enjoyable in the arena or out on the trail and is ready for a rider who wants a versatile, dependable partner.

Cash is soft, responsive, and well-started, with a solid foundation that is advanced for his age. He rides willingly in a snaffle or one-handed in a small leverage bit, and he transitions between the two easily.

He performs the following with consistency and willingness:

  • Walk, trot, and lope with balance

  • Correct stops with engagement from behind

  • Soft, cadenced backing

  • Independent control of hips and shoulders

  • Sidepassing and pivoting

  • Confident navigation of obstacle and trail courses

  • Stepping onto tiers and platforms

  • Crossing both metal and wooden bridges

  • Riding quietly with full saddle bags

  • Tolerating noise and movement (yes—you can pop a beer can off him)

  • Riding with a pack of hounds

  • Swimming and beach riding

  • Opening and closing gates from the saddle

  • Ponying young or older horses, even bareback in a halter

  • Stepping over small logs when pointed at them

Cash offers all of this while remaining willing, soft, and responsive—a testament to his temperament and training.

Although he is just 3 coming 4, Cash rides with the maturity of an older horse and demonstrates the reliability that makes him a long-term barn favorite. He is the type of gelding people keep for 20+ years—steady, useful, enjoyable, and trustworthy.

For buyers interested in showing, a program arrangement may be available. Cash can remain in training through the winter, and he has the talent and mind to step into the show ring this spring with confidence.
